They are like twins, the Light and the Dark,  Never together, always apart.  I wish 'twere the same for the twins in my heart.

I walk and I walk. The thirsty soil swallows my blood and tears. I stumble along, tears blurring my vision and hiding my path. I push my limits and discover that it is not enough. There is a bat flickering in my window...

Note: I wrote this yesterday night and forgot to submit it ^.^;;

Today was great! I got to finally go to Michael's and restock my supply of blue acrylic paint. I never seem to have enough of it. Also, they had craft pumpkins on sale for 60% off, so I got $12 one for $4.79! I'm really excited about it since I'll be able to make a pumpkin I can hold on to for a long time. The only thing I don't like about it is the pretty obvious seam job on it. Luckily, there is a whole side that is perfect. I also went to Target and got a teeny tiny battery-powered pumpkin. It's such an adorable evil face X3 I just chuckle every time I look at it.

Later, my mom was looking through our (very) messy garage to find Halloween stuff to take to school, as well as our light-up black cat, and she found all kinds of Halloween stuff we bought last year at Target when Halloween stuff when to 90% clearance! We've got a few different kinds of light strings, the flickering bat currently hanging in my window, a haunted house candle holder, and some other random stuff. I also finally replaced the glow-in-the-dark skeleton keychain that I usually keep on my keys (or at least that I did before it fell apart one limb at a time).

So I'm off to wok on homework, I guess. The flickering bat is attracting bugs, and I just got the rare view of seeing one snatched out of the air by a lizard. Ew. Well, have a nice week!

A blank page is before me, pure and clean. A pencil the color of honey laced with nightshade lays beside it, dark grey tip glowing with malice. I lay my hand on the pencil feeling an overwhelming temptation. I agonize: one hand on the cool white innocence that s the paper, barely touching it, the other gripping the pencil as though it were a bloodstained sword. Dare I sully this existence of unlimited possibilities with a pencil’s imperfect lines? I must for it is my duty as the wielder of this pencil. Words form with a careful hand, but the paper is ruined forever, no longer limitless in its potential. But now, it has purpose. It has a reason to be.
